 | Prefecture Mechouar de Casablanca by matcrazy1 Prefecture Mechouar de Casablanca was located near Mosque Mohammed V. Well, "mechouar" means a fortified palace with a parade ground. The building with a very large Arabic gate looks impressive and is guarded by an armed soldier. You can make him a photo if he allows you - simply ask him preferrably in Arab or French language haha.  | Watch out, cow on the road! :-) by sim1 Most houses outside the village had fences around them to keep the cattle out of their gardens, except apparently for this one. The village itself was totally surrounded by fences to keep the cows out. But oops.... this trick doesn't always work! The cows do get out of their designated areas on a regular basis. Charity starts at Home – in the UK
Yes, a couple of our charitable UK VT members, Deus_Ultima, from Northwich, Cheshire, and Kierk1, from Portstewart, Northern Ireland, both donate their time as Little League coaches. And now, due to their friendship on VT, are bringing their two teams together for a week of competition in Portstewart. August 5 through the 9th are the dates and will be particularly exciting since this will be the first time out of England for some of these Year 7 through Year 9 Cheshire students. Besides the travel being a life changing experience, the generosity of Kierk1’s team in donating equipment is the really special aspect of this wonderful event.
Thanks guys for being such a great example for a your groups of youngsters

Then you should check out the Caucasian Challenge. It’s an exciting and whacky race starting in Budapest, Hungary on August 30 and concluding September 15 in Yerevan, Armenia. One of the teams, which still has openings for participants, will be representing VirtualTourist. Or, if you’re anywhere in the vicinity, you could cheer our group on as it crosses eleven countries on its way to the finish line. We hope the new team carries on the tradition set by the victors of the Autorickshaw Challenge of 2008 led by our own General Manager, Giampiero Ambrosi.
The Caucasian Challenge and Autorickshaw Challenge are sponsored by the same charitable organization.
Another tragedy hits one of our members
Death is inevitable; however, when the natural order of life changes its course, it makes the pain even greater. Member 6HARRYJAMESSR recently lost his beloved 31 year old son, Nathan. Nathan who is pictured and honored on his father’s pages, was proud of his Navajo heritage and culture and was adept in the American Indian Pow-wow Fancy Dance. He leaves behind a beautiful 11 year old daughter, Jayden.
We’re so sorry for your loss, Harry. Our thoughts are with you and your family. VT
