The casinos in Las Vegas make it very easy for you to lose large amounts of money. They have cash machines that are easily accessible and they give you plenty of free drinks if you are playing Blackjack, craps, slots, or any other game. Always remember that they are in business to make money - and you are the source of their profits. Before you start gambling, determine how much you are willing to lose and draw the line at that amount. Know when to walk away! We know that this tip sounds preachy, but we have seen too many people learn this lesson the hard way. Leave a Comment

Without a doubt, the best gambling odds are downtown. You can get good odds at other off the strip hotel/casinos, such as Sam's town too. The worst odds are at small casinos that don't have a hotel attached. Also, avoid slots that are not in casinos, like in stores or at the airport. These are the tightest machines in town. A person's first time in a casino can be a memorable experience. The blinking and glowing lights, and the rush of people gathered around a roulette wheel with bells ringing and chirping, dominate the electrifying atmosphere. Gambling has become an American pastime gambling in America appears to be increasing, and so are the chances of losing round after round at a poker table. For some, compulsive gambling becomes a debilitating, life-changing addiction. Having money is a big risk. Financial aid checks, checks from parents and paychecks provide students with the means to play a hand or two at the casino. Some players have mastered the game and won big enough to pay tuition and rent. But all too many end up losing more than $100 a hand, eventually landing them in debt or bankruptcy. Compulsive gambling has grabbed the attention of authorities. A federal committee was established in 1999 to study gambling's financial, social and legal implications. The study concluded more than 2.5 million adults are pathological gamblers, and another 3 million adults are problem gamblers.

If you're under the age of 21, you are not allowed to gamble or drink. They do check for IDs. Also, almost all hotels require a valid ID that proves you're 21 to check in. You can walk through the slot machines and casino areas, you just can't stop and get involved in the gambling. So really, the best time to visit Las Vegas is when you become 21 years old. But if you're with family, there are still there are a lot of activities for people under the age of 21. Leave a Comment

If your want to gamble and win, DON'T do it in LV! Who do you think pays for the free and lavish roadside entertainment, the gorgeous and luxorious decor? Let's face it, the $ has to come from somewhere. Sign up for a FREE daily tour at your hotel to Laughlin (a 2 hr drive away) and you get better odds at blackjack. E.g. Laughlin's single deck blackjack wins 2 to 1but Flamingo's at LV wins only 6 to 5. You do your math. What's more, the tour throws in a buffet lunch and Hoover Dam tour for FREE. Try beating that in terms of value for $. Leave a Comment
