Casinos / Gambling, Las Vegas

It is dangerous to take lots of cash to Vegas (because you will gamble it away)... I never saw one winner the whole week I was there. I fear the only people winning are the residents of Vegas (who do not pay taxes) because of the casino's. Obviously they are making lots of dosh (and now I can say some of its mine:).

I've never had any problems in Vegas or know anyone who has. Just use common sense (I know, it anything but common)and you'll be fine. Watch out for the one armed bandit....

There's no way you can avoid slot machines and gambling in Las Vegas. Decide beforehand how much money you are willing to spend upon the casino's and STICK WITH IT!

If your lucky enough to it a big jackpot. Be very careful when you leave. There are people out there that might want to follow you tell you get to a more secluded area and take all your winnings that you worked so hard to obtain.

The Paris casino is not a great place to play slots. (Maybe it's just me) I did not see one person hit a good chunk of change on a slot machine, I guess the casino is trying to get back the money they put into it!

Keep in mind that the reason they can build such huge and extravagant resorts is because they have a 2%-10%+ edge on every game that they offer. If you gamble, go to have fun and decide what to loose in advance; this way if you loose you will be o.k. and if you happen to win that will be great!

If you do loose all your money - they do have plenty of ATM Cash machines around. If you go to one of these it is known as the 'Walk of Shame.'
