 | Las Vegas How to Save a $ Reviews | 11 - 20 of 20 | | Avoid the stratosphere roller coaster, it's a real joke. It's nice novelty to have a roller coaster at the top of the tower, but it's wimpy and expensive. The observation deck is cheaper and just as exciting. Leave a Comment

How do you think they can build such huge resorts, offer buffets for nearly nothing, tantilize you with free shows and provide free parking? It's called gambling dummy and the more you gamble and lose, the more they can provide these free goodies. So think about it and keep the money in your pocket!!! I would like to thank those of you who gambled and lost tons of money, you really subsidized my trip :-)
Plan on a set amount of money that you can reasonably afford to lose (say $20.00) and once you reach that limit, call it a day.
There are so many other things to see and do while in Vegas (e.g., shows, parks, walking, shopping, eating, etc.) so get out of the casino and have some fun. Leave a Comment

Don't use Strip locations for developing film. Go to the neighborhoods and utilize local pharmacies

If you say yes and attend . A Free show and dinner if you have the patience and resolve. We did. A decent variety show `V`and a good Italian dinner at Lombardi`s in the Alladian Desert passage mall

The Las Vegas shows are outrageously expensive. Expect to pay $100+ to see Siegfried and Roy show or performers of a similar ilk (i.e. cheesy, slick, and ultimately boring) consider the large number of 2nd-tier shows that run every week. Lots of well known magicians, comedians and musicians are often to be found playing at smaller venues and much more reasonable prices. Failing that, consider amusing yourself with the free entertainment that most of the hotel/casinos put on near their gaming floors.

You will need to drink plenty of water in Las Vegas. The hotels and casinos often charge $1 or $2 for a bottle of water. This is ridiculous! Instead, buy a case of water when you get to vegas, and put it in the mini fridge. It will save you a lot of money.

the whole place is a tourist trap, embrace it and you'll be fine

If you have to go to this trap please get loaded before buying drinks that are over $10.00 a pop and arent that good. Please do not grease the palms of any one here, its not worth it!! But if you do, then good luck!
Try other Burlesque shows, Tangerine I heard was great and the Pussycat Dolls Lounge.

Las Vegas "Locals" consider all of the mega-resorts on the Strip to be Tourist Traps because with the exception of Concerts and Live Production Shows everything that is available on the Strip is available elsewhere at much lower prices. Consequently, we only go to the Strip to see concerts by famous performers or to see live production shows - or sometimes just for some tourist watching :-)). Please do not misunderstand me - the "Strip" is the wonderland of the world for adults but if you are planning on spending all of your time in Las Vegas on the "Strip" just be certain to bring plenty of money because you are going to need it...
