This is where the original "strip" was in Las Vegas. A lot of the old original casinos are in this are. The light show that takes place here every day and night is an absolute must see. The show actually takes place over your head in the street. It is one of the most incredible shows I have ever seen and is not to be missed. Leave a Comment

We wasted $30 in cab fare lastnight to see this brief and unworthy "show". Save yourself some time and money and don't bother. Stay in the main Strip area and avoid downtown Las Vegas. Drunks and panhandlers are on the prowl and it just plain stinks there. The Christmas light show was very brief, lasting about 2 minutes or so. We left shortly afterward. What utter waste.

We were there 8 yrs ago and there was alot more going on than there is now. No street performers anymore. The light show only runs once an hour on the hour. Tried to go into the new mall and most of it was closed and we didnt feel safe. We could not get to the cheap food because they wouldnt allow kids to even walk thru the casinos to get to the resturaunts. Parking was terrible. Some crazy lady running a parking lot yelled at us because we parked in the wrong spot. She wanted us to park back in the corner were we couldve gotten blocked in. We left her lot. We did like the restored neon signs. Directions: downtown

When I first head of it I didn't think much of it, until I got dragged outside to check out one of the shows they have every night! The light show is absolutely amazing!!! It's a must see when visiting Vegas! Leave a Comment Directions: DOWNTOWN VEGAS

worth the trip up to the old part, just to see the light show.Good payout at the casinos there as they are typically older and a little more run down.Be wary of the time of night and how late you stay as the area is also more run down and has a higher crime rate. Leave a Comment
