Many of these stores have a café, called Café Revive. It's not a restaurant for a full lunch or even dinner, but a good choice for a quick rest while sightseeing or shopping. Their coffee is really good, you can have a sandwich or some biscuits and regain your strength. There are bathrooms at the cafés, free of charge. Leave a Comment

Two restaurants, Bella Pasta and Pizza Express are franchises of pizza and pasta restaurants around the UK. Both have a good variety on the menu and the pizza has always been hot and delicious with fresh toppings. I recommend either. Leave a Comment

Mama Amalfi Italian Restaurant and Cafe The most important unique quality is that this has to be the best Italian restaurant in Southend, a town one wouldn't immediately associate with nice restaurants! This is the best cafe to get a coffee in in the town centre, with a true cafe feel, where you can relax in a chair, watch the street outside and enjoy nice coffee. If only it was on the waterfront with a better view!
Anything! But, the roast peppers stuffed with crushed olives at lunch time is delicious. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: London Road, Southend (number 5 I think), right down the Victoria Circus end.Other Contact: Open for cafe style lunch in the

A very photogenic building.
Hansons is a restaurant in the centre of Exeter. The specialty is Devonshire Teas. These include: scones, jam, tea, and of course clotted cream! The restaurant is located on the edge of the green where the cathedral is. It's not cheap, but it is one of the 'must do' activities in Exeter. The building itself is very old and has an interesting history. There is a map inside where you can stick a pin on your home country or city! Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: Right in the heart of Exeter, Devon. Find the cathedral and it is to the left of that as you face the cathedral's main entrance.

The building is a listed historical building - one of several in the centre of St Austell. The decor isn't great, but who cares - the food is what counts!
'Cheesy Cod'. This is garnished with roasted lemon, which is delicious. Steamed vegetables accompany a succulent piece of cod with a reserved cheese crust on top. Yum. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: In the centre of St Austell, beside the church.

There are a few decent pubs and restaurants that all offer reasonable priced food to suit everyones dietry requirements. -The Ship Pub in Little Thurrock- offers a carvery and yummy bar food at fab prices. -The Boat--Lakeside- a busyfloating bar on a nrw orleans style boat with trendy restaurant upstairs offers wie variety, can be a little expensive for things such as steak and chicken. -The Harvester-Cosy restaurant recently opened this year (2000), very reasonable. -The Dog and Partridge Pub-Stifford Clays-friendly bar offering traditional dishes. -TGI-Americain Restaurant-Lakeside-Can be quite expensive but very very huge portions! There are many restaurants in Grays high st, although a few are quite new and I have not tried all of them yet, Have heard others rating's on them and all rating's have been good! -Indian, Chinese, Thai, which offer takeaway and seating , at compatible prices. Both the Ship and the Dog and Partridge are oldy worldy designed with a cosy warm feeling to them both. Wooden Decor and warm reds and browns. The Dog and Partridge has a plaque above the fireplace which states there is a another Dog and Partridge in Calfornia usa.
I love traditional Roast dinners with lots of vegtables, roast crispy potatoes and thick gravy so the Ship and the Dog and Partridge suit me to a 'T'. Carvery restauarnts in the pubs also allow you to have as much as you like for a mere 11.00pounds!! (This also includes desserts if you have a sweet tooth at the Ship pub). Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: All restaurants mentioned above are either Grays or within the North and South Grays facinity.Other Contact: Telephone numbers for bookings c

supposedly, indian food is the best here. I love indian food, but didnt eat any as i got the stomach flu. if you are VEGETARIAN you have a hell of a time eating in rural scotland, unless fries and salad with no dressing is a meal you can live off of day and night. go to pubs! drink and eat!
hairy coo! the cow in scotland is called hairy cow or highland cattle but it is said hairy coo! i had to take a photo of such a funny looking cow. I went to UK during foot and mouth disease so it was highly illegal to step foot on a farm unless it was your farm. so being the international criminal that i am, i took a photo with the hairy coo. Europe's biggest Asian restaurant. As it is a Pakistani restaurant, alcohol is not sold but who cares when their mango lassi is the best in Europe (also sold at Harrods!). Even the baby high chairs were Asian as you can see and children were welcomed. For those of you from Sweden, I can tell you that this is the restaurant that inspired 'Indiska' to write their Indian cookbook and a copy of it is displayed in a glass cabinet!
Paneer in chestnut sauce...mmmmm... Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Great Horton Rd, Bradford
