Dingwall's rooftop terrace has at least a dozen picnic tables. Get there by noon if you want one! There is also indoor seating, but you really come here for the view of the lock! Order inside, and carry your food out. There is a choice of several sandwiches. The meal is also served with a salad. We didn't expect much from the dining aspect, so we were pleasantly surprised that the sandwiches were tasty, and the salad quite fresh! |

| Canal Boat Cafe: If You Need to Pass Some Time | | |

I don't know the actual name of this cafe. Just noticed it docked alongside the same pier as the canal boats in Little Venice that you ride to Camden on. If you get to the dock before the first boat leaves, you could pass the time in this charming looking cafe. Didn't try it myself, so I can't comment on the food or drink. |

I have tried several curry places in Brick Lane & nothing measures up to Tooting standards & prices Jaffna House, Lahore Karahi, Sakonis, Rada Krishna Bhavan, Kastoori Although if you do go to Brick Lane, I have tried Monsoon which is pretty good food & if you press the touts hard enough they will reduce your bill by 25% & give you a free drink. |

Travelling on a budget can be a pretty intimidating experience in a city like London. But there are ways to deal with it. All around the place you will see "Boots Chemist" shops. These shops have a good lunch deal, less than 5 pounds for a drink, a chocolate bar and a sandwich. Look around, because sometimes you can in fact find double sandwiches included in the deal! Some of the fillings are a bit strange, but on the whole they are not bad at all. |

This pub is well known for its high standard of pool players so word of advise don't hustle on the pool table unless you are really good!! The drinks are well priced with large outdoor seating area. I have not been as yet but there is a theatre attached to the pub which is a nice addition. The food is reasonably priced pub standard meals with good chips. they do a sunday roast |

you have to eat indian food after a night of drinking. nothing we have ever eaten compares to "the best hangover cure" as a late night balti. the next day results are, nothing short of scary, never smelt anything like it. spicy shrimp and nan bread |

This restaurant has a chilled out, if somewhat snotty ambience. Dont be turned off though, the food is amazing and not that expensive (by London standards...which means that it still costs an arm and a leg!). Every time i go i am amazed by the wonderful yumminess of the food, and the menu is constantly being updated with new dishes. Oh yeah, and you can bring your own wine (they charge corkage). also - make a reservation (its a small place, and very popular) Everything I have tried has been amazing. You just have to go and try it yourself. there are no words to describe the yumminess. |
