 | Barcelona By Bus Reviews | Tips 1 - 10 of 63 | | The Bus Turistic is a great way to see Barcelona. We purchased the two day passes (21 euros per person). This gave us the time to get on and off the bus as we wished. I recommend doing some advanced research into what you really want to get off the bus to see and where it is, mostly because you can become a bit disoriented when getting off the bus. The bus takes two routes and if you plan on getting off at a lot of stops, then the two day pass would be worth it for you. Otherwise, just get the one day pass, stay on the bus and listen to the comments about each site and then hop on the metro the next day to get to where you want to go. Leave a Comment

In Barcelona you'll find a lot of buses lines that connect all the city.Is also a good option, you can buy a 10 trips tickets in subway stations and you can use them in public buses aswell. Also there is a line called Barcelona Turistic Bus,that can take you to best places to see in city, this is a good option if you come for a short visit to the city. This is a picture of that bus in the stop of Plaça de Catalunya. Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

If you wanna take the touristic bus, look for this sign! It is always near the main spots. The blue signs are for the blue line, the red ones for the red line. Take care, there are only a few places where you can change from the red to the blue line Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

I like to walk and find it the best way to know a place. My traveling partner suggested taking the city tour buses, and with a clear sky I could not resist the temptation of hoping on the deck. I actually found it a very useful experience. The bus has a lot of stops around the city and they come at a frequency of every fifteen minutes. I found it mostly useful to access the area of Montjuic. Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

These two storey buses take you all around the city and stop near the main attractions. It covers two routes and stops at 42 places. On every bus there is a guide who will give you a short description in several languages to what you will find at each stop. You can get off or on these buses as many times as you like. You can buy your ticket on the bus or at any tourist information office. There are also tickets valid for more than one day on sale. Once you bought your ticket you are given a guide book and a leaftlet with many discount coupons you can use at some museums, restaurants; at the zoo, acquarium etc. Leave a Comment

Some may not know but up to an hour after using the bus you can use the metro for free using the same pass. So if you discover you've gotten lost or made the wrong stop, or if you just want to transfer from bus to metro, you can do this using only one trip on your pass. Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

Buses - a comfortable and cheap means of transport. What else can I say? I didn't travel around Barca on a public bus but they seem to be very popular, clean and well maintained. That's why I can recommend municipal buses to low-budget tourists (like myself). Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

My first day in the city was spent walking for what seemed like miles so I decided to take a rest the second day and go on the open top bus tour - the BUS TURISTIC. It was €18 for one day and like in most cities it has the "hop on hop off" and multiple routes. I thought it was a great way of getting around to the tourist sights that are a little further away from the main area of Las Ramblas & the Barri Gotic and Port areas. Places like Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia, Nou Camp stadium etc would need public transport to reach them anyway. Also Montjuic which has a lot of museums and sights on its slopes but would require a bit of a climb or a liking for cable cars to reach them!! Of course the buses get busy, particularly around places like Sagrada Familia where there was quite a queue to get back on the bus. I think that was the only place I didn't get on the first bus that came though. The frequency of the buses increases in high season and I certainly never had to wait long for one to turn up. As well as a route map you also get a discount booklet for many of the attractions along the 3 routes Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

Another cheap, fast and ecological way to travel within Barcelona is taking the bus. Not as fast as the metro, but this way you will be able to see more of the city while moving from one point to another. Sometimes the bus will take you right to where you want to go, and sometimes you should use a combination of metro and bus. But what is for sure is that it is the best way to move around Barcelona while visiting. Many people don´t even have a car because gas and parking is so expensive in Spain, and totally survive with public transportation. Leave a Comment
