 | Cape Town Sports Travel | Tips 1 - 10 of 58 | | Popular Sports Travel | Other Sports Travel Tips | All Tips (58) Although many divers bemoan the cold water of Cape Town, it is the kelp beds that thrive in the cold water that give the coast such a rich diversity of sea life. Justin's Cave on the Atlantic side and Castle Rocks in False Bay are rated as some of the best. If you're boat-diving, the five wrecks (sunk deliberately between 1972 and 1983 to form artificial reefs) in Smitswinkel Bay are colourful and a haven for marine life. If you're after a thrill, you can also dive in the predator tank at the Aquarium in Cape Town, where you can get up close and personal with ragged tooth sharks and a variety of large fish.

Planning a trip of any kind to South Africa? May I suggest you contact Maritha at Winners Tours to assist you with your requirements. They have been awarded the contract to do the land arrangements for the 2008 IPU (Inter-Parliamentary Union) conference to be held in Cape Town later this year. Placing 2000+ delegates into beds takes some doing Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Cape TownPhone: +27 21 419 5544Directions: Suite 202/3 Newport House, Prestwich Street, Green Point, 8012Website: www.winnerstours.co.za Other Contact: +27 021 421 0321(fax)

When Driving from Blouberg Strand to Cape Town you drive over the Milnerton Lagoon. I must say its something worth seeing. Its absolutely beautiful and everytime I went pass there you always seem to get people wind surfing and kite flying and so forth. Well I did a bit of research and for those sporty people. Check out the link below for sports activities to do at the lagoon. Cape Town has a lot of nice and good places to practise different sports. The surfers has there a lot of beaches to choose!!! I couldnt practise the "Sand Boarding" but if you can I recommend you to do it... its more or less the same than snowboarding but on the white sand......
You wont need to wear any special equipment.... just your sunglasses, shorts and.... i think that's all....... Leave a Comment Theme: Extreme Sports

Well, I love Ice Skating. We've got a lovely Olimpic size Ice Rink, still pretty new. It is great to spend time with your mates there and to have a laugh.
Dress warmly!!! After all, it is an Ice Rink. You can hire skates from the rink if you do not have your own. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Grand West Casino - Vanguard Drive GoodwoodPhone: +27 021 5352260Directions: Follow the Casino signs off the N1.Website: http://www.icerink.co.za/

You are standing on Gourits Bridge secured by the harness whilst someone counts 3-2-1 jump and you do - or at least I did. Leap, fall, jump or dive off the platform while being securely attached to the opposite bridge – the ultimate swing. Feel the rush of the air past your face as you swing over the riverbed below, underneath the bridge to the other side. This is great for those who don’t like to jump head first – here you don’t hang upside down but go off feet first ensuring that you are in an upright position at all times. Cost 160 rand for a single person jumping, 220 rand if you want to jump as a pair. You can get a cd rom of your jump for an extra 90 rand.
Make sure you have good suitable footwear on as there is a climb back to the top once you have jumped Leave a Comment Theme: Extreme SportsAddress: 35km west of Mossel Bay.Phone: 044-697-7001 or 083-414-2380Directions: 35 Kilometers to the west of Mossel Bay along the N2 national road is the historical Gourits River Bridge.Website: www.faceadrenalin.com Other Contact: Open daily 9am - 5pm
