Beneath the sandstone cliffs of the southern Drakensberg, on the banks of the willow lined Inxu River , lies the small town of Ugie, founded in 1863 by the reverend William Murray a missionary,and named afterthe Ugie River in Scotland.

The district is a centre mainly for sheep and cattle farming.

A lovely little settlement village in the mountains..
