If you travel on the older, smaller roads in South Africa, you will find areas with a tree or two, concrete table and benches and a bin.
Do take stop at these, it has always been, and still to a lesser degree, part of a road trip, where you have food and drink ("padkos" - Afr) and time to strech the legs.
