With a variety of national and private game parks in this province, you are spoilt for choice for viewing wildlife!
And I am talking about the Big 5 and all the many other animals that dont get the same 'air-time' as the Big 5, but are just as important and needed :)

Near Gods window there is a trail to the rainforest. Not a long trail and certainly worth walking. The plantlife is great. And at the end there is another great view of the Drakensbergen. Leave a Comment

Usually my favorite season for traveling is spring, when new life and blossoming takes place. It happened that late spring (September and October) is also the best time for game viewing. The "shoulder" seasons - spring and autumn - are best for hiking, as summer can be hot with summer thunderstorms. If you are planning to visit the "Garden Route" as well, the southern right whales hang around the coasts from about mid-June to the end of October.
