As of most churches in Tirol, Pirchmoos Chapel has an onion-shaped dome and very baroque looking. Constructed in 1896, this little chapel is very colourful for a church. If the yellow paint on the outside strikes you as a bit bright, you should prepare yourself for the vivid blue marble posts and gold plated altar and statues inside. This is absolutely the best apartment we have ever rented in Europe. For Christmas week, our home away from home was the entire ground floor of a lovely home in Söll. We had a hall to leave our ski boots and coats. We had a large kitchen with corner breakfast nook, a single sofa, a fully equipped kitchen with family size refrigerator and freezer, full size microwave, stove and oven. Each village in Tirol has its own ski bus to transport passengers -- whether or not they are skiers -- to and from ski lift stations. The bus stops throughout the village at designated points and the service is free for all. To go from one village to another, one can pick up the ski bus that stops only at the bus depot. The service is free only for skiers; other passengers should use the Postbus instead. [read more] |
