If you catch the train to Corniglia and want to visit the town - just be warned. The train station is located down by the ocean, but the village of Corniglia is perched up a cliff.....and there are approx 360 steps to climb to get there! Ok, they are not difficult steps, but if you are step-challenged then this may be an issue. At certain times of the year there is a small bus that you can catch from the station up to the town. When we stopped off for our brief visit to Lucca we caught the train from the Cinque Terre. To get to Lucca we changed at Viareggio. From here it is about 20 minutes to Lucca. Lucca is also on the train line from Pisa - this trip takes 30 minutes. It is a really scenic ride, through lots of small towns, quite interesting. Boscovivo is a fabulous shop located in the heart of Florence. It sells Tuscan delicacies - everything from olive oils, truffles, mushrooms, jams, sauces and dressings, and of course a good selection of Tuscan wines. It was conveniently located close to our hotel, and we were tempted in one day by the taste testing being offered....
