Corniglia Warnings or Dangers | | stairs stairs stairs! by sue_stone If you catch the train to Corniglia and want to visit the town - just be warned. The train station is located down by the ocean, but the village of Corniglia is perched up a cliff.....and there are approx 360 steps to climb to get there! The photo... [read more] | Lucca Transportation | | Catching the train to Lucca by sue_stone When we stopped off for our brief visit to Lucca we caught the train from the Cinque Terre. To get to Lucca we changed at Viareggio. From here it is about 20 minutes to Lucca. Lucca is also on the train line from Pisa - this trip takes 30 minutes. It is a really scenic ride, through lots of small towns, quite interesting. The cost of catching the train from Lucca to/from Pisa is only about 2 euros. For timetables check out the website link... [read more] | Florence Shopping | | Local Delicacies by sue_stone Boscovivo is a fabulous shop located in the heart of Florence. It sells Tuscan delicacies - everything from olive oils, truffles, mushrooms, jams, sauces and dressings, and of course a good selection of Tuscan wines. It was conveniently located close to our hotel, and we were tempted in one day by the taste testing being offered....
