We rented scooters one day and decided to tour the island and see some of the waterfalls. The first one on our list was Namuang waterfall. We passed by the elephant trekking to arrive near the site. After parking our scooter (20bht each), we hiked for about a half hour through some amazing jungle. It was a hot a very humid climb all the way to the top, but it was well worth it. Temple III does not seem to get much press, and there was very little involvement with it in the way of access while we were in Tikal. That surprised me, because when I first observed it from a distant perspective atop Mundo Perdido, I was really impressed with it's shape. After leaving Bermudian Landing, it was only a short drive to the Belize Zoo, located in the tropical savanna countryside.
