  • My friend and I have stayed here for the last two years. The staff here is very friendly and we enjoy the more classy atmosphere. One thing we enjoyed is that there was little to no children. The hotel had a more adult feeling to it.

The staff was very polite and we feel very welcome here. We loved the lounges inside the hotel. Cute bouncer men!
They are very concerned about customer service. One day the housekeeper broke our hair straightener and the manager replaced our item with a very high quality and expensive hair iron from the salon inside the hotel. We were very happy that they made sure we had a good stay.

  • Okay, so we didn't stay here either, but I did some research on this hotel. We did explore the hotel and I can't wait to go back!

You want the best room in Vegas? Look no further. Unfortunately, you'll have to pay for it...tres expensif!

What You Get Bottles of in the Bathroom: Oh, man, if you use it all you'll be attacked by bees thinking you're a big flower. Shampoo, conditioner, lotions, sewing kits and everything the best places have. Our advice is to bring a big toilet kit or purse to haul all this booty home.

Five acres of pool deck with five pools. While it's mostly plain old concrete, it's still plenty of swimming fun.

    Canal Shops
This mall is as fancy as the Forum Shops at Caesars. There are dozens of high class shops for you to browse. It's all indoors and there's a canal where you may take a gondola ride for a small bundle. It's spectacular enough to be worth seeing once.

    Guggenheim
A real, legitimate art museum. This is a Hermitage outlet of the Guggenheim, which means it shows things from the permanent collection of Guggenheim or Hermitage focusing on themes, such as pop art or impressionists. Not exactly why you went to Vegas, but trust me, it's cheaper than spending time at the craps table.

    Madame Tussaud's Las Vegas
Want to spend $14 looking at big, human-shaped candles? If mannequins in the shapes of stars are not your thing, walk on by. A few of the celebs featured include: Evander Holyfield, "The Rock", Muhammad Ali, Brad Pitt, Eddie Murphy, Harrison Ford, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Idol, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Jon Bon Jovi, Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, Mick Jagger, Oprah, Jerry Springer and George Dubya.

The Venetian: The room was awesome!    Check Rates

  • Wow! What a hotel.

We stayed at the Venetian from 10/20/04 - 10/29/04 and not one thing went wrong.

From the moment you arrive, you are surrounded in total elegance (even the valet parking area outside has a hand painted ceiling).

The lobby is amazing with marble everywhere and a very efficient check-in desk. I must say that I was concerned about the service after reading previous reviews, however not once did we have a problem.

Our room (and when Isay "our" I mean my wife and I) was fantastic. All of the rooms are suites and they are big. The furniture, in fact the whole room was lovely quality. Just like the pictures on the Venetian website.

It does take a while to walk from your room (we stayed in the original part of the hotel not the Tower) approx 5minutes but even the elevators are class!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, nobody expected to be tipped which was nice. Of course we did tip, but there was no pressure.

The cocktail waitresses were beautiful and friendly and La Scena bar was one of the best we saw. We one a couple of jackpots on the slot machines...........yi hah!!!!

The whole place is breathtaking and that is before you see the 2nd floor shops and canal. It actually took my breath away, there were opera acts in St Marks square that i would have paid to see.

If you're from England then the hotel is not that expensive. I stay at the Hilton in Dartford and some of the food was cheaper at the Venetian!!!!

The Venetian is a luxury all suite hotel. The rooms are large and spacious and come with just about any facility you could want to use.

The hotel is a mini version of Venice, the picture is their St Marks Square, which is found on the second floor of the hotel (it switched to night mode about 5 minutes later). You can go for a gondola ride with a singing gondolier through their version of the Grand Canal.

  • Out of every casino that i have stayed in throughout Las Vegas, the Venetian has to be my favorite.

Every room in house is a Suite, and for the amount you pay for a room, they better be. The bathrooms are wall to wall mirors, which can be good, or bad. 130sq ft. of bathroom alone, with marble floors.

The suite itself is 650sq ft. A sunken living room with a work desk, sleeper couch, dinning table, and TV makes you feel at home.

But it is not only the rooms that a fab at the Venetian. The resort itself, was made for a king. No expense was spared when it was built by owner Sheldon Adelson, and opened in 1999.

You can not starve at the Venetian when there are 18 restaurants to choose from. Shopping is also an option here, in the Grand Canal Shoppes, with over 500,000sq ft
or retail heaven. Here you will feel like your actually walking through the streets of Venice. The canal holds over 1 million gallons of water, and offers romantic gondola rides with singing gondoliers. All this is on the second floor! The casino floor offers over 120,000sq ft of gaming space.

Finally make sure you take notice of all the paintings from renaissance and fresco time periods, that line the hotel walls and ceilings. They are all hand painted duplicates of famous venetian paintings, some taking over 1 year to paint.

The Venetian: Venetian - My Favorite room on the Strip    Check Rates

  • This is hands down my favorite room on the strip. The rooms are huge, the bathroom is gorgeous and the beds are comfy.

My only complaint is the pillow. Not the best pillow ever (Bellagio pillows are best as are the Four Seasons) but they work. Just a little "foamy" and not very "givey" - if you know what I mean.

Still, I love this hotel and I love the decor.

In room safes for no extra charge and robes for going down to the pool.

Their pool area is OK but not the best one around. To see pics of the pool, see my travelogue.

The bathrooms have a vanity for us ladies which I think is a nice touch and separate toilet area. I like this because someone can be "doing their business" while another is brushing teeth, taking shower, etc.

Location-wise, it's not my favorite BUT, as soon as the monorail is up and running this will be less of an issue.

Still, if it isn't too hot out (or it's night) it's doable to walk down to the Paris/Bellagio corner (my fav spot) assuming you're not wearing 4" heels!

  • I have not yet actually stayed here, but I have been in the rooms here and let me tell ya something about them... they are nice, not just nice, but REALLY nice... the standard room is about 700 sq feet, that is almost twice the size of most of the other hotels/resorts standard rooms. they have your typical bed area, then there are two steps down into a living area that is separated from the bedroom area. the bathrooms are large and in charge!
My next visit to vegas will hopefully be here at the venetian. cross your fingers for me!

the price for these rooms is usually not much more expensive than your typical resort in vegas. I would compare it to the mirage, aladdin, paris, mandalay day, etc. (it might even be cheaper than some of them)
