The Venetian: A great hotel with the largest standard rooms!    Check Rates
  • Satisfaction:
  • I always try to stay at The Venetian when I'm in Las Vegas. This is an excellent hotel and it has the largest standard rooms on the Strip. Even the basic rooms contain a bedroom and large, step-down living room along with a huge bathroom. The rooms feel quite big and luxurious, and the attractive blue and yellow bedding and decor really adds to their appeal.

There are a number of other things that are great about the Venetian. The shopping and dining are both excellent. Lutece is very elegant, Pinot Brasserie has exceptional cuisine and Grand Lux Cafe is a great place for casual dining. The Venetian also serves gelato (I make repeat trips for the gelato during my stays). The lower level has a large array of stores for shopping, including BCBG, Banana Republic, Movado and Lladro. There is also a large Sephora store at The Venetian.

The canal that runs though The Venetian is quite charming, and if you're at the hotel with a significant other, it's fun to take a ride on the gondolas. Otherwise, you can stand near the canals and listen to the gondoliers sing as they sail by.

I highly recommend The Venetian to anyone traveling to Las Vegas!

The Venetian: New Tower is Gorgeous, but pack Comfy Shoes!    Check Rates
  • Satisfaction:
  • I had the pleasure of staying in the new tower - The Venezia Tower - during my last stay in Vegas. The room was huge, complete with a comfortable sitting area, a desk and printer/fax machine, a large bathroom with a lovely tub, and very comfortable bathrobes. I would recommend this tower if you will be spending a lot of time in the room or if you plan on having 4 people in one room. There is plenty of room for many to be completely relaxed and comfortable. The tower is incoveniently far away, and there are two elevators to take just to get to your room. If convenience and being close to the rest of the activity in the hotel is important to you, I would not recommend staying in this tower. It is easy to get lost!

The shower had a large shower head and a secondary set of smaller nozzles that hit the mid-section of the body. The linens were very comfortable and the towels were fluffy and large.

The Venetian: Avoid the check-in line...arrive 10 minutes early    Check Rates
  • Satisfaction:
  • While I highly recommend this hotel like most other reviewers, if you are staying in Vegas on the weekend and if you're spending time at the casinos, shows and other attractions, your money might be spent better elsewhere. However, if you are going to spend a lot of time in your room or if you're going to entertain friends in your room, then the Venetian makes sense.

We were in town for a wedding and had friends over for cocktails each evening and it was nice to have the room available for this. We also used the extensive pool areas each day...the many Europeans enjoying the favorable exchange rate turned one side of the sunning area into a "topless" zone. Hey, it's Vegas! Ho-hum!

Best tip: arrive at about 2:50pm for check-in. The hundreds of travelers waiting for the 3:00pm check-in time have not yet vacated their slot-machines to join the check-in line. You will get the best room available and by the time you've breezed through the check-in process, there will be 100 people in line!

For those who like to primp, this hotel offers one of the largest bathrooms available anywhere in this country.

  • We stayed at the Venetian this past 4th of July. We love it. The rooms were beautiful and extremely large. We love it. The hotel also has many great resturants.

We had a view of the pool and it was gorgeous. The lobby was amazing. I felt that I was in Italy.

    The Venetian: Luxury!    Check Rates

  • Our stay at The Venetian was great. (We were in the main part, not Venezia.) The hotel itself is gorgeous and provides many things to do -- the Grand Canal Shoppes, riding on the Gondola, etc. The inside of the hotel is absolutely beautiful as well, and we were both quite astounded when we came in and looked around and walked through before heading up to our room.

The room itself was fantastic as well. No wonder they call all rooms suites: it was huge. There were two parts to the room, and it included a huge bed, very fancy bathroom with everything you could possibly need, a couch, two TVs, etc.

It felt extremely luxurious. And the best part was that we got this on Priceline for a fantastic price: $99. A five-star hotel for 100 dollars just makes it that much better! Consideirng I've seen the Best Western in Las Vegas for more than this, this makes it really incredible!

The only thing that is making me choose this as 4 stars in satisfaction instead of 5 is that I found a couple of the staff there to be quite rude. I had a small, embarrassing confrontation with one of them who was quite pushy and demanding when he had no reason to be. Most of the others were just fine though, and I wouldn't keep this from staying at this great hotel again if we were to return to Las Vegas and be able to get it for such a great price again.

    Room Service

You name it, you got it!!
These are the biggest, swankiest rooms in Las Vegas. If you want to impress someone big put them here. The rooms reek of money. Enter the 650 square feet standard room through a marble foyer to see a sunken living room complete with writing desk, fax machine/copier, 27" TV, game table, an in-room safe, mini-bar and almost enough chairs for a baseball team.
Then, in the bedroom area, there's another big TV, canopied bed and another phone. The bathroom, which is bigger than any I have seen has a huge tub or separate shower.
Chat on another phone while sitting on the can, use the hair dryer, safe or iron. Practically everything stationary is covered in marble or some expensive fabric. The towels were fluffy, so fluffy I couldn't take it home, so big couldn't fit it in my suitcase.
