Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
Stayed here with some girlfriends and we had a room in the Towers. It was nicely decorated and was very satisfied with the cleanliness. The people here were very friendly and helpful. At that time, the older neighborhood was right up against the hotel, so security was an issue with us. So just keep an eye on everything and everyone around you when you are in the parking area. Has an 80,000-square-foot casino, 6 restaurants, salon, spa, two huge pools, spa, salon, high speed- internet access, indoor and outdoor fitness centers and some pretty neat Tower Shops. Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
This is where we laid our heads to rest after a whirlwind day of sightseeing. The hotel is nice and comfortable, although we didn't spend a lot of time there! The Strat is north of all the other casinos on the Strip, and it's a long walk just to the Sahara, the closest casino. It's best for people with cars, or who don't mind mass transit or shuttles. What You Get Bottles of in the Bathroom: You get shampoo and conditioner in tower-shaped bottles. Really, did you go to Vegas to sit in the room or did you go to explore this wildly entertaining city? Right. I did like our hotel. Not as crowded or loud as some of the others in the middle of the strip...nice and comfy.
Top of the World: This is one of the most expensive restaurants in Las Vegas. It is at the top of the Stratosphere Tower, so the views are spectacular. Everything comes a la carte, meaning if you order a steak, you pay an extra $5 for the potato, and then more for the vegetables and dessert. It can be very romantic, and if you really want to impress someone, book a reservation for sunset and watch the valley twinkle in the twilight. If you want a good deal, though, check out the lunch menu here, which starts just over $10 and includes a free ride up the tower. The view's nicer at night, because during the day you see all the smog hanging over the valley, but we can't afford to be picky. At 1,149 feet, the Stratosphere Tower is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. From the observation decks, lounge, restaurant, meeting & banquet space and private dining rooms, guests enjoy panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip and the surrounding valley. The High Roller roller coaster is the world's highest roller coaster! At 909 feet above the ground, the High Roller rockets around the tower pod on 840 feet of track banking sharply at 32-degree angles, traveling approximately 32 miles per hour. The Big Shot thrill ride catapults 16 riders from the 921-foot high platform up the Tower's mast to a height of 1,081 feet. Traveling at 45 miles per hour, riders experience 4G's as they reach the very top, and feel negative G's on the way down. There's also the Tower Shops for those who want to shop rather than scream. Stratosphere is too far away. It's located at the end of the strip (street). However, there are buses that goes back and forth the city! You might like to buy a weeks's bus pass if you want to explore the different hotels in the strip. I have stayed in different hotels in Las Vegas everytime I go there. Believe me, we go there every year. Sometimes twice a year... But, I always chose hotels close where the action is. Never at the end of the strip. There are many things to see at night and walking is the best way to go. After watching all those hotel attractions at night, your energy might be gone to go back to your hotel. All you needed to do is go back to your hotel and collapse and sleep!
The Stratosphere is very nice I think. The games are exciting like the Drop. That's pretty scary. It's fun for people who are daring...
