Room was great, with a wonderful view of the mountains and the off-strip landscape. Pool was nice, with a main pool, wave pool and lazy river. A good part of the pool was shaded and we had to fight for spots in the sun, away from the main pool area. Water in the wave pool was freezing, but felt great after being in the hot desert sun. Lazy river was a great way to cool off, however there were WAY too many kids getting in the way. Restaurants were nice, with fair prices and the casino had a great and comfortable atmosphere.
I would definitely stay again, however (and this goes for all resort pools), I only wish vacationing families would make better use of the kiddie pool, keeping the children a bit more out of the way of the partiers and sunbathers. | | | | Monte Carlo Resort And Casino: Beautiful Surroundings, Sub-par Service

The hotel and it's rooms are beautifully appointed with marble floors and european decor. That being said, I was very disappointed in the service we received in the casino area. We sat at various slots for approximately 2 hours on a Friday night and did not receive one offer for a drink! At one point, we asked a waitress who replied "Oh, YOUR waitress will be right with you"... We ended up going across the street to buy our own drinks at the party store... We were also disappointed to find out they no longer have their Keno room. My husband's favorite casino game is Keno! (We ended up having to walk to Excalibur to find one! The service there was much better as well) On Sunday night after our wedding, the service was no better. I won $130 on the $10 Black Jack tables, was not offered any drinks again, seems like the wedding dress and tiara would have drawn atleast a little attention to me! We ate at the Cafe here. The food was pretty good (we got the fried appetizer platter and the seafood platter to share), although service was surprisingly slow at 2am on a Friday night (eventhough it was not crowded). We also had the opportunity to dine at Blackstone's Steak House. EXCELLENT. It is a tad pricey, but the meal was well worth it. Excellent and expedient service here! Best steaks we've probably ever had!
We got married in their very beautiful wedding chapel- we were VERY happy with our experience with the chapel. They even agreed to turn the air conditioning down in the chapel for our wedding (I have a health condition that causes me to be very cold)! They provided our flowers for us, the photographer was excellent, and the staff was warm and friendly. I'd definitely recommend them! Leave a Comment

 | | | | Monte Carlo Resort And Casino: Diamond in the rough

Monte Carlo is a great casino on the strip. Look for their specials! I got a deal of $49 a night, "Spa, Food and Play" December special promotion. It came with a $25 food credit, $25 off spa and $25 play for new club member. You can't beat that deal in Las Vegas anywhere. I stayed there on weekdays in mid December. The room is more than average. It's excellent for the price, considering I only paid $49 a night. You get all the things you get from those higher end of hotels like Bellagio, Venetian, or Wynn. It doesn't feature a separate shower and bath tub of course. But the bathroom is a nice size. Not too big, not small neither. The casino features a great gaming area. For you gamblers, slots and just about every game are available to play. Nowadays every casino has a poker room. The poker room in Monte Carlo is not big. But hey, they have a poker room period. The casino floor staff are nice to chat with, very professional. They have a nice selection of restaurants. I didn't get a chance to try any of them. Fast food joints like Mc Donalds are available in Monte Carlo. The pool was closed for remodeling when I was there. The location on the strip is between New York New York and Ceasar's Palace. It's right accross from Gameworks, for those who have kids. Nice location on the strip.
Big shower head. Very nice to take a shower with. Very good deal, cheap!
