Mirage Resort & Casino: A Mirage? Seriously?    Check Rates

  • The Mirage Hotel and Casino is a good place to stay in Las Vegas. The staff are mostly accomidating and willing to help you, although the staff at the main desk can be short with you if you ask them questions. The hotel has multiple dining oppertunities in the hotel and there are also various attractions such as the White Tiger exhibit and the atrium. Overall the Mirage is more laid back place to stay than Bellagio but still keeps a level of class above some of the other strip hotels.

Mirage Resort & Casino: Most Feel Good Resort in Vegas    Check Rates

  • The best thing about the Mirage Casino in Las Vegas would be the atmosphere without a doubt. The pool is large with a great feel music throughout the grounds. We would eat breakfast by the pool each morning and then head to our sun lounges. I visited a lot of the other pool areas for example New York New York and The Venetian and their pool areas were shaded in the afternoon and I found had little atmosphere.

I enjoyed the variety of the restaurants and the fact I didnt have to eat buffet style every meal. The location of Mirage is hands down perfect if you are into the shows of Vegas. Right next door to Caesars you are right in the thick of it

Outstanding qualities we found at the Mirage were the pool area. We are pool folk and enjoyed eating our breakfast by the pool each morning and then heading over for a swim.
The service by the pool was good we never had to wait long for a waitress to bring over our favourite cocktail!

Mirage Resort & Casino: Big Room    Check Rates

  • The room at the Mirage was pretty big, which was nice because 3 girls shared it. It had 2 queen beds, the standard TV/drawer/mini bar contraption, a desk and a chair. The bathroom wasn't so big, and the low-flow toilet hardly ever got the TP down on the first flush : (.

The bathroom didn't have a separate sink & mirror area like at some hotels, but there was a small dressing table with a mirror and a lighted makeup mirror just outside the bathroom. The only downfall may have been the lighting - it was so dim you couldn't tell if you had on too much blush : ) But I guess since anything goes in Vegas, it didn't really matter.

The Mirage is known for the White Tigers and the Dolphin exhibit and the Volcano, none of which I saw on this trip.

I did go to the gym and spa. The gym is inside the Spa. $20/day to use the facilities, but it's included for free on the day you purchase a spa service (like a massage). It's not very big, but does have a nice selection of equipment, with individual TV screens on the cardio machines. I had a very nice massage in the spa, and they provide Aveda products in the showers / dressing area.

Wasn't a big fan of the "snacks" at the Mirage. The Coffee shop had some of the most bitter espresso I've ever had, and the ice cream was kind of bland. Didn't eat at any of their full-service restaurants.

The pool is VERY crowded. It opens at 8 and people rush down there with towels, etc. to save chairs. It is pretty cool though - has a couple waterfalls and little waterslides. Oh, and beware, a large bottle of water ordered from the poolside servers is $7.

Mirage Resort & Casino: Rooms & staff lack the punch of street level    Check Rates

  • It's obvious that Steve Wynn would prefer you stay out of your room. The best part of the room was the view of the strip. Touted as a "volcano" view room, the volcano is seen far better from the street.

I nearly errupted when I paid 14.00 for a small pot of coffee in the morning.

I much preferred looking over the tigers and the lush garden lobby.

The Staff was less than cordial....

The Lobby, location smack in the middle of the strip, and of course the tigers

  • The Mirage is truly a tropical oasis in the middle of the Las Vegas strip! This lovely hotel greets you with a beautiful walk through a tropical rainforrest just past the entrance. There is a gigantic wall acquarium with beautiful tropical fish behind the check in counter. There soothing tropical theme continues throughout the hotel making you think you are in the south seas. Volvano errupts outfront in the evenings - you can feel the heat if you are close by!

Pool is spectacular with beautiful waterfalls. Gorgeous white tigers on dislay courtsey of Sigfried and Roy. Out back near the pool is The Secret Gardens visitors can experience for a small fee to see other wild animals and dolphins. There are innumerable fantastic restaurants and much night life including but not limited to the casino. Once the home of Sigfriend and Roys show now boasts "Entertainer of the Year" Danny Gans among its list of shows and performers. Rooms some of the nicer on the strip, but who spends that much time in their room in Vegas anyway?!?!?

White tigers - beautiful and unique

Mirage Resort & Casino: A Vegas Standard    Check Rates

  • The Mirage, orginally built and designed by Steve Wynn, is the one that set standard for hotel resorts in Las Vegas. Located acorss from the Venetian near the center of the strip, this place has something for everyone, the inner jungle design, the Sigfried and Roy White Tiger habitat, the Volcano activity outside, all of this and a fabulous casino to boot! the rooms are not asd outrageously priced as you would think, either.

Some call it cheesy, but I actually liked the volcano... and the Tigers were a nice touch, though they hardly ever came out of their little hiding spots. The Danny Gans show I have heard is one of the best, if not the best, in Vegas.

We stayed at the Mirage in July 2008, during the long weekend. Our stay was just amazing! We wanted to stay at a place with a nice pool and in the middle of the Strip. Mirage was perfect for that! The hotel is old, but it went through an extensive renovation (the Volcano in front of the hotel is still under renovation) that shows all over the place! The rooms are very clean (our room was a little bit smaller than the one at Bally's) and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed in the South Tower, room 11012. We had a nice view of the pool and a little bit of Strip view. The bathroom was on the small side, but very clean and more than enough for us. Everything is very tastefully decorated (room, bathroom, lobby, restaurants). The hotel staff is very friendly and I felt pampered during our stay here.
We spent a lot of time at the pool (amazing pool!) and we went to see "Love" one evening. It was very convenient since July in Vegas is hot. We did not have to go too far to see the show and this was perfect for me!
There are plenty of restaurants in the hotel and we enjoyed a lot the Paradise Restaurant, just by the pool. They have great food and the location is perfect. You can get a quick bite and go back to the pool in no time at all!

    the pool!!!
