Never stayed here, but had some friends who have. Well, lets say you get what you pay for at times. Some people said it was just ok. Yet, it still has that old Vegas glitz and all the vices that go with it. Yet, it’s nicely located centrally on the strip too.
A 3,626 room hotel with 77,000 square feet Casino
The Flamingo Las Vegas Wildlife Habitat features live African penguins and Chilean flamingos.
A 15-acre pool area with three pools and a Jacuzzi.
Many Shops
Each room has a phone jack for dial-up internet access.
Wheelchair accessible rooms
No RV parking and no Pets allowed
Seven-story parking garage.
Amenities: Air conditioning, in-room safe, on-command movies, remote-controlled cable TV, hair dryer, iron, radio, alarm clock, electronic door locks, desk, telephone and voice mail.
Tennis club, Dollar-Rent-a-Car desk, beauty salon and barber shop, concierge, currency exchange, luggage, maid and room service, safety deposit box and wake-up call.

We stayed at the Flamingo Hotel and it's right on the strip opposite Caesar's Palace.
A nice place to stay and the room we got faced the swimming pools.
When we first checked in they gave us an unmade room, and a non-smoking one at that! I was HORRIFIED when i stepped in, for the room was an utter mess!
I can't believe how anyone could have left the room in that state of wreck -- it looked like a very, very wild party had taken place.
Anyway, the reservations officer was very nice, she had given us a dinner voucher of $30 cos' our room was unmade at check-in. And when i saw the state of the room and called up for a change, they didn't have any rooms available.
However, they promised me a non-smoking room (as I had requested earlier) and one with a view of the pools.
The next day, we got our room switch at 3.30pm, and boy was I glad to get out of the first room. I had difficulty sleeping due to the smell of smoke.
But we were very happy with the 2nd room -- it was beautiful and really clean too.
Expedia gave the $49/night rate and Flamingo's own website was selling the room at a much higher rate!
So... it's really worth it!
It has very kitschy carpeting in the corridors -- bright blue and pink with flowers. But thankfully, this does not extend into the bedrooms!!!
The bedroom we had was very tastefully furnished :)
