Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
We have stayed at Bally's for years, and have yet to be disappointed. They have changed rooms for us because we weren't fond of the view, and have often upgraded us in the process. This was not done because we're great gamblers, or because they know us personally, no, they did it to keep the customer coming back. The rooms are spacious, border on the luxurious, and the restaurants and shops within the complex are good. Plus, you don't have to fight your way past all the machines to get to the front desk. Clear sailing from the door to the clerk. Ballys is blessed with The Big Kitchen, a buffet which is superior to others on the strip. It also has a coffee shop which offers fantastic Prime Rib, at a ridiculous low price, and It is difficult to beat the quality. You have to ask about this deal, because I don't remember if it is available all the time, or just late in the evening. They also have great chicken wings that my mother-in-law just loves. Too hot for me though.
The casino floor is large, lots of nickel machines, and a wonderful selection of slots to keep you happy, however the floor is so easy to navigate. If you are looking for a member in your party, you can overlook the floor from the elevated section which consists of desk clerks and shops, and the additional height gives you a greater advantage over other casino. Finding friends or family members is a snap. You also are centrally located on the Strip, and have direct access to The Paris Casino, with most major casinos just minutes away. Leave a Comment

 | | | | Bally's Las Vegas: Just as nice as next door, for cheaper!
Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
Bally's rates are always at least $20 a night cheaper than those of its sister hotel. Paris, which is attached. Having stayed in them both, I have to say I prefer Bally's, even without the price difference! The staff were far more helpful (I think at the Paris they feel snooty staff = authentic Parisian atmosphere :) the rooms are every bit as nice, and the elevators are MUCH closer to the parking garage than the Paris' . After a few days of all the walking in Vegas, you will be so grateful for this, trust me. If you join the Park Place player's club (Flamingo, Caesar's, Bally's, Paris & the Hilton) you'll regularly get really good discount offers from Bally's for $49-$69 a night. | | | | Bally's Las Vegas: The Petite Suite RULES at Bally's Las Vegas!!!
Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
We stayed in a "Petite Suite" at Bally's on our last trip. And I cannot tell you how awsome the room was!!! It was a great sized room with a King sized bed, a whirpool tub, his and her vanities, his and her closets, and best of all, a GREAT view out the sliding glass doors that didnt slide! From our room you could see the Barbary Coast, the Flamingo, Imperial Palace, The Venetian, Wynn and the Stratosphere!!! Not to mention the beautiful mountains off in the distance! And at night, the view was just breath taking!!!
The hotel pool was nice. Probably the nicest of any hotel I have stayed at thus far. But I know it isnt the nicest in Las Vegas. We liked the casino, but did most of our playing at the Paris. The Big Kitchen Buffet at Bally's was a great buffet! They had an excellent selection of both breakfast and lunch foods! Not to mention a great view of Caesars! The server was a little less than friendly, but she kept our drinks full and the table clean. I love that the monorail station is RIGHT there! We just took the elevator from our floor right to the "Pool" level and walked straight onto the Monorail! I also love that Bally's and the Paris are connected. To be honest, with the great room we had and how close we were to the Paris, it feels like we stayed at the Paris! | | | | Bally's Las Vegas: Large rooms, close to everything
Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
For our first time in Las Vegas I researched extensively to find a hotel with the two things my husband and I were looking for 1- a sportsbook with a bar, and 2-karaoke nearby. We both found what we were looking for at Bally's. Bally's is right in the middle of the strip nestled among such giants as Ceasar's, the Bellagio, Paris and the Flamingo. But its not so big that you get overwhelmed. The casino is relatively small, so you can get from one end to the other without losing your mind or your wallet. The room we had was very large and comfortable. The sportsbook is down a long hallway but it was so nice to sit and drink and watch sports that we hated to even move. There was an excellent litte Japanese restaruant down there too. The karaoke place is called 'Ellis Island' and you get there by going out the back door and going down the side street. It could be kind of a scary walk if you are afraid of wondering off the strip, but I loved it. The only negative was that the front desk had some trouble figuring out the Expedia reservation we had made, and they actually gave a key to our room to someone else. Luckily we had bolted the door and it all got straightened out. I recommend Bally's if you are looking for comfort without the sensory overload that Vegas is famous for.
The sportsbook was very comfortable. They also had something rare in Vegas, at the bar at the Mexican restaurant, you could actually just sit at the bar, which was simply...a bar...and not a bank of video poker machines.
