Hotel Pariz in Prague

Hotel Pariz ( obviously the Czech spelling for Paris ) is a lovely Art Nouveau building just next to the Municipal building and Powder tower.

This type of hotel is not really in my budget, but I always enjoy to have some coffe in such a great hotel-lounge, that is decorated in the very best Art Nouveau style.

Hotel Pariz

The Hotel Pariz is located just few meters from the Old Town Square. It has got a wonderful Art Nouveau facade that show three people in traditional Czech suits. Over them there is a cupola.

I did not stay here but had friends who did and said they had a very good experience. I enjoyed a very nice cocktail in their Cafe which has a lovely atmosphere.

Historic charm. Near to the historic center as well as the main performing arts center.

I have just come back from a weekend in prague and stayed at this hotel.
The decoration level of service and location are superb.

The art Nouvea building is an icon together with very close proximaty to the municiple hall which is another gem in its own right.

Bathrooms are very modern and impecably clean.
Staff are very friendly and most speak english which greatly assists.

Hotel Pariz from the street.

The Pariz is in the center of old Prague. We took the train into Prague and took a cab from the train station to the Pariz (the only time we needed one of the cities notoriously "rip off" artists cabs, the hotel shuttled us back to the station at the end of the visit for MUCH less money). The Hotel Pariz looks like an Art Nouveau cruise ship from the street. We stayed there between Christmas and New Years's Eve 2003, we were upgraded to a bigger room with no extra cost. The Sarah Bernhardt restaurant was fabulous! Avoid the Czech wines though, stick with French. The front desk could not have been nicer. Everyone speaks fluent English and there were no problems. The hotel is expensive but worth every cent.

The room was nice, the bath tub was huge, room service was great, the mini bar was not even expensive. The lobby was beautiful, they always had out coffee, cookies and/or apples for the guests.

Save up your pennies and treat yourself!

Directions: The location is wonderful, you can walk out the door and be right on the start of an Art Nouveau walk in several guidebooks. In fact the hotel is a highlight on the walk. The national theater is next door with a breathtaking interior.
