We were greeted by our rep at the airport and once at our hotel our cases were taken to our room. Check in was done with no fuss at all and it was very quick.
Our room was very nice indeed. I think we were in rooms that had yet to be refurbished because the bathrooms looked a little tired. The actuall bedroom was faultless though.
As we were staying for 14 nights, we asked for an upgrade and we got it for the last 7 nights of our honeymoon which was fantastic.
The services at the hotel were very good. The swimming pools were lovely. We brought beach towels with us but the hotel gave you a towel every morning (something very new to me).
The staff were very friendly and couldnt do more to help you with a smile always.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing. The breakfast restaurant was lovely and open and there was so much choice. I had full English breakfast every day but what do you expect huh?
I would recommend this hotel to everyone except the very elderly and disabled because as the hotel is set on a steep hill there are lots of steps and steep paths. I even found it hard work in the morning after a couple of bottles of SangSom.
As i have said before, you cant fault this hotel.
The view we had on our second week was amazing and perhaps one of the best views that you could have in the whole hotel.
The rooms at the back (seafront) of the hotel were much nicer than those at the front near reception but i think they are refurbishing those rooms as well.
One very good feature about the Imperial Samui is that it is based on Chaweng Noi (small Chaweng) and far enough away from central Chaweng that it feels like a completely different, more chilled out and perfect hotel for people who really want to get away from it.
The other bonus is that you can get either a taxi or a bus outside the main entrance of the Imperial and be in the centre of Chaweng in minutes. Coolio!!!!!!!!!!!
